Led by artist Kate Goodrich. Sensory based, forage and make beautiful botanical printmaking art. Outdoor activity – come rain or shine. Kate Goodrich is a multi-disciplinary artist working across abstracted mixed media paintings and collage. Goodrich uniquely grows the materials for her practice, which draws from a broad knowledge base of permaculture principles and sustainable methods of growing and preserving plant matter. She will be leading a Cyanotype printing workshop. Kids and teens will get a chance to connect with nature and create a cyanotype work in the grounds of Mary’s secret Gardens. They will forage natural materials to use to create unique and beautiful pieces. It’ll be a sensory based, botanical art practice and outdoor activity – come rain or shine. Children will be encouraged to experiment and play. There’ll be no right or wrong with this process.
